Quick release steering boss
Hi all,
I'm going to buy a quick release boss for my Tiger, but have no idea which one to buy. I've seen posts on here about cheaper bosses coming
off, so which ones are good quality.
I've seen this one on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180482439980&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
or this one
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330368711622&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
either any good?
Cheers
Neil

Id try and find the "snap off" boss they used to make
It cam with a key that you couldnt remove until the boss was secure.

SPA ones have a good reputation for being good quality. Not cheap, but not a component to scrimp over the pennies on.

I searched for ages to find one of these, as they're now a discontinued model and are becoming rarer. I finally managed to source one on the
'bay and paid about £70 for it.
They can't be released without the key, so no chance of it popping off mid-drive, and it's a good anti-theft device. I never liked the
look of the cheaper 'clip-off' design ones, hence the adamancy on finding another one of these.
Do a search for posts by me and you'll see the discussions come up, and one of the threads not so long ago showed what can happen when you buy
one that won't secure! (Awaits linky from someone else).

Ive got a copy of the second one which doesnt come off, wont work unless its on properly, and sounds the horn if you put it on upside down.
I didnt pay £60 for it though, i think it was more like £35.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.
