flexible brake hoses
apologies in advance for the somewhat strange question.
Do fliexible brake hoses normally come with the joining nut on a swivle. I took a rear caliper off the other day, and I had to move the caliper
around the pipe (if you know what I mean) rather than simply hold the caliper still and turn the nut (If I had done this, it twisted the flexible
pipe).
Now I cannot access the car at the moment, so I am trying to undersatnd how I will put it all together again.
Do mate the pipe the the caliper and turn the caliper or does the pipe need replacing?
Cheers
Craig

replace the pipe mate, you should be able to fit the caiper then fit the pipe. if you have twisted the pipe while trying to remove it from the
caliper, you may have weekened it a bit anyway.

They screw into the caliper with a fixed end, and then the other end that connects to the solid pipe should have a swivel end on the solid pipe. i.e
no swivels on the braided hose

no you're OK that's the std way of fitting them, as said any twist will be taken out by disconnecting were the flexi joins the rigid brake
line.
word of advice set the caliper up the way you want it ie: no twists but before you bolt it on bleed the brakes. The indy requires the caliper to be
removed and turned upside down so the bleed nipple is at the top for bleeding. odds are you will have to remove the other one as well to bleed them
both
