What brake calliper grease?
My car has failed its MOT on rear handbrakes. One of the calliper slides is a bit sticky. It was new last year and freed up with finger force so I
think packing it out with grease should do it. I've been out looking for red rubber grease but neither of the motor factors nor Halfords stock
it.
What other grease can be used on brake calliper slides?

silicone grease (well maybe that will not attack the rubber)..

Easy to red rubber grease on ebay or from Frosts.

brakes should only really want a thin smear of grease. you don't want to pack it too full, so it squishes out all over your discs and pads

Don't think that's rubber safe... will perish the bushes over time (I think the grease is petroleum based....)...

Red rubber grease or silicone grease. Make shure the sliders are cleanof any old grease/crud; take them out and wire brush them. They only need a
smear and often just silicone spray is enough.

I bought a tube of this when i rebuilt the brakes (with new pistons and seals) on my mountain bike a couple of weeks back. Arrived next day delivery
too!!
