Alloy wheel reconditioning
Morning all
Does anyone know how much i should expect to pay for a set of 4 15" alloys to be reconditioned?? The ones i am looking at have no corrosion or
apparent kerbing. £200 sound reasonable??
Any recommendations for anywhere in the Wirral / Cheshire area at all?
Thanks

From looking a while ago, (wifes Yaris fail alloys) I would say 200 is about the going rate, hence why I didnt bother at the time, too much for me
(tight) I wanted to pay 120-150 tops, particularly when you see some of the new whell deals.
Still if you've got something rare then it's obviously a different story.
When I get the time I'm going to have a go at doing them myself.

I have considered doing them myself too - so will see how much work they need. They're to go on my MR2 mk1 - a set of 15" wheels off the
MR2 Roadster. Cant imagine i'll have any competion for them on here so........

Local tyre place in Darlington do them for £25 per wheel including removing/re-fitting the tyre and re-balancing.
So £200 is way OTT

Recently paid £240 for full reconditioning on my 18's and i think if i wanted the kit car ones done it was £40 a wheel (15's) so i think
£200 sounds a little high. Try to haggle a bit though as depending on their current capacity they may drop the price.
Oh and just to add soon as you recieve them give the alloys a full once over in sunlight and the shade to make sure they are perfect. I did have an
issue where one of mine was lighter on two spokes that was only really noticable in the shade and its just hassle if you sort it out later on.

Cool - that sounds like a good deal and maybe 30 mins from me. Confirmed the price off their website too.

I've got 4 nearly new Toyo T1R's on my current crappy BK alloys so will speak to them if i win the wheels on Ebay.
Cheers for that Luke.
If you think £200 is OTT, i just got an automated quote off thewheelspecialist.co.uk......... £258.50!!!

Depends on what you want colour wise and how good you want them.
Heard good things about these:
http://www.rimfurbish.co.uk/
They make alloy wheels as well.

Just going to get them back to the OEM silver. I'd rather get them back to as new condition really and at £140 including swapping the tyres over
i'm happy with that. If i took them locally to get the tyres fitted then i'd be looking at £20 - £40 anyway i recon. Still going to be
under £200 for them in as new condition.
I've bought wheels from Rimstock myself but i'd have to pay postage if i dropped the wheels with them on my way back from collection so
it'd put the price over £200. £140 fairly local sounds good to me.
Cheers

Result buddy! I'm sure they'll look great when done and you can't go wrong for £50 per corner.
Nicely done..
