brake light switch

how sensitive are brake light switches the ones that fit into the top of the master cylinders?

im looking to use one in the clutch side of things to wire for my full throttle gear change and that seems a very good and easy way around mounting it other than a normal on off switch

Educated guess i`d say not sensitive enough.
A better option would be a very sensitive pressure switch (or pressure sensor
), or microswitch on the clutch pedal.

the problem i have is mounting the switch

i have floor mounted pedal box so cannot fit it where it is on the front as omex want,

if i fit it on the rear they dont have enough travel on the switch, it will max out on the switch before the pedal hits the stop if that makes sense,

trying to get my head around it

normally closed, fitted so your pedal holds it open, the moment pedal is pressed it closes itself, would be very quick, could be floor mounted on a small striker bar ?
