mk4 1.8 turbo golf
well miffed car drove brill this morning, drove through a big puddle slowly car felt sluggish then drove okay parked up left it for 5 hours cant
engage an gears now when the engine is running. AAAArrrrrg clutch is only 18 months old with 15k on any ideas
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

has the clutch plate seized on the splines or stuck to the flywheel and cover. Try starting it whilst in gear and driving it a bit (obviously you need
to be pointing where you are going to be going when you do this)

tried selecting first then starting it up car set of couldnt get into any other gear

somehow the clutch isn't disengaging - first port of call would be the cable or hydraulics to check them out particularly if the pedal
doesn't feel quite right.
Otherwise it's gearbox out to check the clutch

Check the fluid level and try bleeding the clutch if it's hydraulic.
