Wheel bearing life

How many miles should rear wheel bearings last ?

I had an MOT on the Viento yesterday and there was play in the OSR bearing.
They were new when the car was built and have done less than 10000 mls.

are they sure it was the bearing itself, any possibilty of the bearing housing bolts being a bit loose?

correctly set up on a heavy car, 100k miles, on a light car ~200k miles.

If its worn out then incorrect adjustment or forgot to lubricate with clean grease
