Do Westfield uprights fit a locost???
Hi everyone. I have a pair of Westfield ally upright assemblies to sell for a mate.
Before putting them on ebay I would like to know if they can be used on a locost, using standard locost wishbones.
I am led to believe that they can replace cortina ones on a westie so does that mean they will suit the locost??
They have the standard westie ball joints etc.
If they are suitable I will offer them on here first.
Thankyou in advance, Geoff.

you need to ask on the westfield club forum, what you need to know is if they are the same as cortina hubs, but when westfield designed these they may
have taken the opportunity to change the geometry
As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
I've got a little list-- I've got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground,
And who never would be missed-- who never would be missed!

As the locost wishbones are designed for Sierra KPI I would think that you would be better to buy or copy the Westfield ones.
No big deal and the Cortina geometry is considered better
So I would advertise as Westfield uprights discs and callipers with the superior geometry

If they replace Cortina hubs, I would think they will fit straight onto Locost book / Stuart Taylor type wishbones.
Like the ones on my car, I'd love a set of those.
I don't recall any Locost front ends based on Sierra, MK,Mach 1,Tiger, yes.

Standard locost wishbones are designed for cortina uprights, these are a direct replacement therefore should work fine - but check on WSCC first just
in case i'm wrong.

Hi
The Westfield Alloy uprights are a DIRECT copy of the Cortina setup. Even the different height between the left and right.
As mentioned the original Locost is Cortina setup. ( well it would be being a direct copy of the Westfield, Well except for all the inaccuracies. )
Only those manufacturers who went there own way used the Sierra setup at the front. Is the Sierra setup better than the Cortina. NO not unless it
has many modifications to change the setup. Which non of the mainstream manufacturers do.
Cheers Matt

Hi
The westfield alloy uprights are the only Cortina copies that have been tested to a satisfactory load rating.. If you look at the design and bulkiness
of them you can clearly see how they differ from the others which are dubious.
