Depending on mileage i reckon you'll be paying between £1200 - 1400. I paid 1300 for one off Malc at Yorkshire Engines which has less than 3k on
the clock, fairly clean and came as a complete engine with loom and ecu but not much else. Don't know if prices have changed much recently.

Spot on. Keep me posted how you get on. Im very pleased with my blade. The ZX12 got nearly double the torque of the blade, so as you stated should
be nippy
I,ve been offered a Zx12 at a bit more than that.

Is there a particular reason why you want the A1 engine?

There's also this
1287cc Engine on e-bay, with forged pistons and ported head. Not even run-in according to the ad.
Might be worth a bid......

not being a biker, i was told the A1 was the the best engiine to have, as its easiest to tune. power commander + exhaust =200bhp.
i did see the one on e bay, will throw a bid in.
I would even take a damaged one, as long as it could be recon'd !!! anyone ?
or is that like looking for rocking horse stools !
i did notice a ZZR1200 has 120lbft torque, but 20bhp less bhp than ZX-12r. Anyone used ZZR1200 ?
