Fixed my clutch :o)
Yip bit of hacking about with the grinder on one of the spare (both the wrong type) got it into a shape that worked
very happy as it's just perfect with about 3mm clearance from the bearing face to the clutch springs when the levers fully pulled back...unlike
the original 5mm preload all the time!
It’s nice when things actually go well for a change...
Right off to put the engine back in, thanks for all the advice a suggestions
You can see from the pics how much it’s been reshaped!! (the black one btw) and how the lever is just right for full travel

Have yo got enough room for the clutch to wear?
As it wears the diaphragm fingers retract further towards the gearbox, I'm not sure 3mm is enough of a wear clearance...
