What tyres
I am planning fitting refurbed Capri Laser wheels, 13" x 6". They are currently fitted with an assortment of tyres, 175 X 70 x 13, OK for
moving the car around during the build but not roadworthy.
Anybody recommend what new tyres to fit.

I have always been a fan of Toyo Proxes T1S but I don't think they come in that size. Mytyres.co.uk have the Yoko A539 in 175x60x13 for £33.30
inc VAT if that's any good? 70 profile sounds a bit big tbh!

I would say move up to 185/60s. They will have roughly the same rolling circumference as the 175/70s and they are what most people are using as tyres
are mor common in that size.
If you want a recommendation of tyre I would say Yoko A0-21Rs. Cheap (comparatively), grippy and last quite a while.

Yes, they are somewhere between the A539 and the A0-32R.

Im about to go for A021R in 185/70/13. They give half decent ground clearance compared to 185/60, are a bit softer in the wall so a fairbit freindlier
to drive and are also VERY cheap in comparison to the other sizes...

Going for the Yoko A021R, 185/70/13.
Polley Motor Sport £34.02 ea +vat, delivery for 4 tyres £11.20 +vat total £173.15 inc vat delivered.
DT's want for the same deal, tyres, delivery & vat £300 !!!!!!!!
I know where I'll be going for mine.

We use either the A539 or 021R for road rallying. They have lasted on several (up to 200mile) welsh events running around the Llandovery/Brecon area,
up onto Epynt and through the Halfway/Crychan forests at competitive speeds.
Great prices on that site! I was recently quoted £245 for a set of A539 at the local tyre place
The 021R is more of an intermediate pattern tyre than the 032 (which itself was designed as a wet racing tyre)
All Yoko tyres are road legal including (I think) the 006, though its probably only got a road section dispensation... However, you can have it cut
to a wet pattern that would take the tread level to over the minimum percentage.
With the 185/70 you will have a smoother ride, however, if your at all interested in giving the car a bit of stick, it will handle a lot better on 60
profile tyres...
