Front Bottom Swivel joints

Hi all
I'm new to all this I have just bought a Locost chassis along with quite a few bits that was started years ago.

This will be my first question of many I think
Being built to book

The bottom Swivel joint at the front I have seen advertized as a Maxi Ball joint

But in the book its down as a Cortina MKIII IV & V with 4 bolt holes

Its come with 1 of these allthough i'm going to fit 2 new one's

Will either fit or what ??

The wishbones will have either two or four holes, if two its maxi and so on

I read it at you allready have the wishbones ?

Its easier to make the wishbones for the maxi joints. As they arnt designed for locost use there are some that are more suited than others.

Best ones to get are the new old stock Qh parts. There has been a few post of cheaper ones failing.

Should both fit.
If your wishbones are one that use cortina swivels I might have a couple of unused ones in my shed that you could buy for a bargain price if you wished. Let me know if you want me to have a look.
Cheers
Dave

found them

They are unused, but have been sat in the shed for 5 years.

Lower wishbone break due design fault stress raiser subject to a large bending moment --- do a search.

Best advice is either buy wishbones or a pre-cut whishbone bottom plate kit ---- Maxi ball joints allow a much better neater design.
