Can you run a 4xv R1 without the factory clocks?

Hello all, just wondering of you can run a 4xv R1 without the standard factory dials, as I want to change the dash in my MK to an Acewell?

i run a fazer 1000 with out clocks

just have to fool the blackbox that the exupis there by putting in a small servo otherwise
you get funny rev readings on the yellow output wire
