Locost sand blasting for carbs etc.

This was posted on the Cobra club and I thought it might interest folk here.
I'll give it a go!
Do you think it would work with dry sand or blasting beads?

Spooky... I was just about to put up a post regarding carb refurbishment!

Are there any specialists out there who can be recommended?

Would baking soda work in a standard grit blast syphon gun? Might be a simpler solution.

shouldnt see why not but I think the volume of medium being delivered would be excessive

I've just tried it and, as Austin Man said, too much media delivered.

A bit of fine fettling to reduce the diameter of the feed tube and nozzle might just do the trick though.

Oh, and a 'blast cabinet' made from a cardboard box, perspex and duck tape would also be a good idea
