Pedal box query
Morning chaps - who's fitted a Compbrake/OBP pedal box? For the throttle:
1. Did you run the cable through or over the bottom chassis rail?
2. How did you attach the cable to the pedal?
3. Did you have to make a "stop" for the throttle pedal
4. Was there enough travel in the pedal to fully open the butterflies on the carbs?
Thanks for any help.

4. Surely this depends on where you make the attachment on the pedal. The closer to the pivot the less it will move, the further away the more it
moves.

Sort of precisely my point. It's easier to run the cable above the chassis rail, but if I do it will attached to the pedal closer to the pivot
point.

Could you not angle the cable so that instead of it being 90 degrees to the bulkhead it goes in at 70 (or 30 depending how you're looking at
it). This will then point it towards the end of the pedal pivot.
OBP used to have a 'how to' on its web site for the pedal box - although it wasn't easy to find.

found it - they've had a revamp and things are now a lot easier to find.
Can't link but go to downloads (from the menu across the top of the page), help sheets and the top one is 'accelerator pedal'.
Looks like they run it through the box section from the way they do it.

I've just read it. I think I need to get someone to drill a hole in the throttle pedal shaft for me. No way I can do it without a pillar drill!
