Bush tube Sizes

I have had a quick search and can only fnd this which is pretty useless thread

My bush tubes are 29mm long ans only have a an internal diameter of 20.9mm

Does anyone know of any bushes that will fit this size tube? I have looked at the PDF on gts tuning site for his bushes but they seem to be 32mm diameter and the 2 halves together will add up to 34 mm long, which is longer than my tubes.

Any help would be appreciated. BTW the mounting 'u' brackets on the chassis are 43mm inside measurement.

From memory, the size you want is exactly Y419 spitfire bushes as per book - If you find any poly's to fit, let me know - thats my size as well!

Yes they are metalastic, and readily available. Just ask any motor factors for QH Y419's, there vary but average about £1.00 each.

I bought special BMW lubricant adhesive to fit them, its supposed to vulcanise the bushes to your bush tubes which it does very well. Robinbastds wife is german and translated the contents - turpentine!!!

So it was just turps? were that a pain in the ass to push in? my only dealings with matalastic bushes is larhe rear ones on my F27 trailing arms that were a complete bi*ch to get in.

Mark,
as above

My wishbones came with bushed in some of them but where the bushes came from i have no idea, i think they are polly bushes, the crush tubes on some of them are way too long, think its going to be better for me to scrap all the ones that are in there and fit new ones, at least i know thay are all the same then.
