Axle mod (book dimensions)

This must have been asked before but I cant find the answer,
Page 72 shows a line passing thro the mounting bolt holes level with the diameter of the axle, it also shows the center of the axle level with the edge of the bracket & the trailing arm holes roughly in the center of the bracket,
pages 73 & 64 show the trailing arm holes forward of the diameter of the axle,

which is right

thanks in advance

There are no rights and wrongs in the book (sorry, correction - there are lots of wrongs). Put them where you like, but check your final axle position and the length of the trailing arms if you have them. I put mine behind! Rescued attachment LHR Suspension.jpg

I put mine behind too, as page 72.

The longer trailing arms will just mean you have to put another inch on the propshaft. I've made my new ones an inch longer to move the wheels back a bit in the rear wings. It shouldn't make a lot of difference to anything else unless it puts a bit of angle on the rear dampers.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
