GTS Dampers

Does anybody have any experiance with the damper set from GTS (www.gtstuning.co.uk) I would like to know if this set is usable with a IRS based on a sierra with a CVH engine. Also I would like to know who makes these dampers. Rescued attachment Lcstweb6.jpg

hey, ive just bought a gts chassis kit - still waiting for my dampers though.
from the impression i get, they are made in france, and im waiting for mine to arrive.
also, i have a cvh engine to put in my gts and am intrigued as to how it will perform as they were designed for economy rather than performance.
sorry, there wasnt a lot of point in replying to this thread, as i havent got a clue to your original question - its late, so my brain has switched offf

They are from GTS so will be good quality, Darren wouldn't sell them if they weren't.

Hi all,

Time to chip in a little.

The dampers were designed by me/Nitron to suit a book Locost. We made fully adjustable versions tested them and then used the springs/damping values of the adjsutable set to define the current dampers.

They are manufactured for me, in France, by an OEM of dampers. In fact they held the original telescopic damper patent. The spring adjusters are made elsewhere in Europe and i assemble them with springs from Sheffield.

I have now sold more than 200 sets world wide and i have just received another 60 sets this week. I'm just waiting on the adjuster pieces and 25 sets are already pre-sold.

If you visit the website you can download a PDF file that shows the installation dimensions of the dampers. The drawng also show the spring rates etc. If you feel that the spring rate quoted is suitable for your installation and the length is correct (or the car can be made to take them) then they will be suitable for your application. If you are more than about 20% out on the required spring rate then perhaps you should consider an adjustable set of dampers. I'm happy to advise on which dampers to use and can probably supply also, even customer lengths etc are possible.

Kind regards,

Darren
