Steering rack question... which rack to use.

My kit is coming along just moving engine ready for winter powder coat etc....

my chassis is a haynes roadster....

So im messing with my steering rack. i have the MK2 escort rack which a fabricator extended for me.

looks like this one

Ford Escort Mk2 Steering Rack
Ford Escort Mk2 Steering Rack

I have the escort uprights

I want to replace the rack ive actually been given the rack extentions from a builder a while ago but not sure what rack to use.

i got given a focus rack which is well too long and the column attachment but is miles away from where it needs to be.....

any advice would be good please????

On the Focus therack is mounted behind the front axle like all FWD cars. As a result it'd mean when fitted in front of the axle that the car would steer opposite to the direction you turned the wheel.

Whats wrong with the one you already have?
