Sizing rear brake discs on IRS fury

Hi all,

In the process of converting the rear brakes on my fury from drums to disc. Got myself a couple of wilwood powerlites (with handbrake), and now I need to get some discs.

What size of disks are best to use when using 13' rims ?

Cheers
Tris

The wilwood sierra rear kit uses a 240 x 10mm mk3 escort disc for 13" wheels.

Make sure you dont "OverBrake" the rear, I failed my SVA twice on this, by having std sierra 240mm discs on the front (off a rear drum braked sierra) It failed on the back to front ballance.
I eventually got it to SVA, with the ballance bar almost full over.(rule of thumb is fronts lock up before the rears)

Later on I fitted the 260mm fronts of a 4x4 Sierra. All nice and even now.

Just make sure its ballanced properly or you could have problems.
Braking is a "Mission Critical" component on the car, Make sure you get it right.

Decent sized drums actually have some advantages over discs on the rear.
