made some p clips from aluminium strip and used a small piece of plastic tube round the brake pipe in each one to stop any rubbing.

bigger pipe

or cut some bicycle inner tube into strips to act as spacers/anti-chaff strips

The 3/16" 'P' clips I've used don't really fit my 3/16" brake pipe either.

Bob used PTFE (?) tape around his (that's the pink stuff in the pictures). I didn't bother- I've found that because of the bends in the pipe it all ends up pretty rigid anyway!

Hope that helps,

James

You can get rubber lined "P" clips at most shows or suppliers on the web, come in a number of sizes and hold the pipe firm but without damage. Worth doing right for SVA.

I've heard of a few that have passed SVA with those on... I must agree with the rigidity aspect though. Doesn't look too good...
