seirra column

on a seirra steering column,the triangular peice that comes out the bottom,anyone know how long this is or if it has a stop to stop it coming out the bottom?

I installed mine yesterday.

I needed the column slightly longer (50mm), so put the triangular section in the vice, and levered it out of the main column (it was the white plastic bit that moved!)

To shorten just bashed it back in a bit.

I think the white plastic section allows the column to colapse in an accident.

This allowed me to fine tune the steering wheel position.

ive pulled mine out arout 50mm,another 25 would be nice just dont want it going all silly on me when i,m driving
