How much power through a Cortina diff ?

Does anyone have any idea how much power a Cortina diff will handle ? are they prone to breaking ? Im planning around 250BHP, will this be OK ?

What are my options if not ? Ive been told I can gut it and use Quaife internals, is this true ?

Are you building a Dax? If so Sierra diff I thought.
