Problem with Carbs

I am current ly having a problem with petrol leaking from the bottom of the carbs at the point where the trumpets join the main body of the carburettor.

I ahve change the trumpets recently. Have I missed a seal or something?

Also need to but a new clutch cable for a 2.0l sohc pinto from a sierra. Becasue there are 2 different types how do I identify which is the correct one.

Any help much appreciated.

cheers

Simon

If you've got the old one, or part of it, you could take it to your local Ford dealer. They have a database containing parts diagrams for ease of identification. Failing that you may be able to identify it from the age of its donor. Failing that again, you could ask someone who's a little more helpful than me.

Chris,

I was looking at your website and the clutch pedal you show with the yellow ratchet thingy is the same as I have. Does this mean it is a late sierra clutch cable that I require

To be honest I don't know. The cable was cut when removing it from the donor as my intention was to replace it when required. The yellow quadrant on the clutch pedal has now been dropped in favour of a marginally smaller white one. Sorry I can be of more help

Yellow.

White.
