VW Golf rear brakes on Sierra hubs

Hi All

Thinking about fitting VW golf calipers to the back of my Sierra based Fury that I'm building.

Has anybody done this and if so did you use the standard Sierra discs?

Lots of pics would be very useful

Many thanks in advance

Mark

Not saying it will apply to your particular build, but i found problems with clearance under 13" wheels
using golf calipers, sold them in the end and used pug 106 calipers which are quite compact and light
the handbrake mechanism was also in a more convenient place on the pug items.

I've got them fitted to my v-storm, if you use 252mm discs you will get about 10mm of pad overhang, I searched high and low for another set of discs to irradicate this and ended up fitting 272mm sierra RS500 discs now I've a few mm of pad underhang as there is a machined groove between the face of the disc and the bell. Less of a problem than the overhang though a niggling issue all the same. If I keep the car I'll swap them for some hispecs with a separate handbrake caliper.
