Reclaimed scaffolding poles

HI

Does anyone know where I could get some reclaimed scaffolding poles from in the north east (england)? I am planning on building a rear engine, rear wheel drive off road buggy and thought they would be a good source of metal for the chassis / role cage.

Thanks

are you planning on melting them down? they are incredible heavy to use in an automotive application. is it a very big buggy you are planning on building? i would just stick to regular inch ERW if its a smallish buggy.

Beware! Bourettes is binfectious.

My racing buggy is to the relevant racing spec and is a mixture of 1.5" x 0.09" and 1.5"x 0.06"...round DOM

Just FYI
