Impreza Double Wishbone Conversion

Playing with a few parts and some ideas at the moment for my next project. I'm looking to convert some front impreza hub assemblies to a double wishbone set up with inboard pushrod operated shocks. I intend to utilise front assemblies for the back, mainly for the ease of fabrication and assembly though it will be mid engined using the front driveshafts at the back I do hope to use the same setup all round other than a different rated/length shock absorbers. Some of the cars also come with a tasty bottom alloy wishbone which I intend to use.

For Braking, to get round the lack of handbrake mechanism Hispec brake products will be used 6 pot fronts and 4 pot rears with integrated handbrake mechanism I'm not sure on disc size though possibly 295-310mm vented all round

Just a few thoughts on things so far, and would appreciate constructive feedback and any pointers.

I was wanting to use transit drag links for the top wishbone, to fit in the remains of a modified/cut strut. I guess the same centre line which runs through the strut hub and lower ball joint needs to remain for the assemble to swivel, keeping the geometry roughly the same. I've cut the struts down and have a hole, diameter approx which would suite a sierra mushroom type fitting Can anyone tell me the diameter of a mushroom? you never know it may fit.

When using the front assemblies on the rear I intended to fix the hubs using a an adjustable rod from the steering arm to the chassis. How would this work in practice with bump steer etc?

What is the best type/size of box to use for the wishbones, quite like oval box though if there is an "aero" profile even better and the best poly bushes. What size tubing is normally used to house the poly bushes.

I've also been looking for steel camber adjusters because of recent threads about alloy ones. I did see some on egay with matching tubing but can't find it now, if anyones able to help with this point.

I want to persevere with subaru parts unless there are serious safety issues or no solutions to making the parts work, as I would like to support and showcase a local jap parts company, so if we can avoid suggestions to use sierra or similar parts it would be appreciated.

Any other helpful comments welcome, hope the above makes sense.
