Brake Mods
Following on from my recent thread about M/C leaking issues, I am trying all avenues to get the best solution.
Does anyone on here know how much hassle it would be replacing the Sierra M/C with one from say a Fiesta or similar? I just wondered how much
'faffing' is involved at the mounting end. Obviously I would be happier if the end fittings were the same size and thread but don't
mind too much if I have to re-work the lines a little. It's the mounting point I am more concerned about, although I did manufacture the bracket
to take the Sierra M/C it would be a pig to remove or re-work too much.
One last question, would I still need to use the Bias valve I fitted to ensure the fronts lock before the rears?
Thanks.

The master from a non-servo Fiesta (Mk1 or 2) will fit the same mounting holes as the Sierra one. You'll just have to do some minor reshaping of
the pipes. It'll give better pedal feel but you'll probably still need to adjust the bias.

I replaced my Sierra cylinder with the mk1 fiesta non servo cylinder a couple of weeks ago, I had to redrill the mounting holes because I had the
pressed steel type cylinder not the cast one. This meant the mounting holes were at an angle on the original one but the Fiesta one they are level.
Dont know about the bias yet as I haven't had it on the road yet!

Hi,
I had the same problem but tackled it a bit differently. Cost: ZERO!
Have a look in this thread:
