english axle width question
i have an english axle that is 48 and 3/4 of an inch wide,the half shafts are 26 and 3/8 inch,its 5 linked and came of a locost,can anybody tell me
what ford its off as i want to sell it on, it does not have studs,thanks phil

At 48" it is probably of an escort at a guess. Mine is a 52" axle and I think it was off a Capri but not 100% sure.
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

At that width it'll be either mk1/2 Cortina Corsair or mk1/2 Escort. Mk1 Capri is wider and everything else english is narrower.
Never under estimate the ingenuity of an idiot!
