Brake flexi length
Hi guys, I know this sort of question has been asked before, but I can't find the specific answer I'm after.
Can tell me the length of the front flexi's required for a "book" Stuart Taylor chassis connecting to M16 cortina calipers? Anyone
got ST supplied aeroquips that they can measure?
I've done my own measurements, but want to be sure I've got it right!
Ta,
Rob.

Off the top of my head I can't think of anyone who has a book ST chassis.
What about phoning them and asking what they should be? I hear that they are ever helpful!

James,
Stuart Taylor chassis is irrelevant as he's building a locost race series car by the sounds of things and besides the front end of the st
chassis is identical anyway i believe.

I would have thought so too but he's asked for ST details specifically in each post for which there must be some reason!

Robster,
Don't you just mean book chassis front flexi's for a book chassis? why do they specifically need to be st's? are you concerned about
the bracket location for the flexi and want it perfect or am i/we missing something?
Ned.

Hey guys, thx for the responses.
The only reason I was asking specifically for ST is to get a length measurement based on the location of the flexi bracket on the chassis. Nothing
more sinister than that!
Thx for posting that pic Paul, it is indeed a help. The bracket on my chassis is approx 5cm higher, so your measurements give me a good idea.
With the wishbones horizontal and uprights straight, the distance from chassis bracket to caliper is 360mm, to which I added 150mm for suspension
travel and steering travel = 510m.
Based on Paul's 520m, I may need to be a bit more generous on the "travel" measurements!
Cheers,
Rob.
