fury plastic steering bush

Evening all, I cant believe Federer is out of wimbledon! anyone to the point, ive noticed today some play in the said plastic bush between the UV joints and the top bush. Any ideas if these are a standard ford part (unlikely I know) otherwise ill speak to steve tomorrow but from what ive seen of the latest cars they are no longer used.

Looks to me like a standard Sierra bush in a custom housing.

I do think people are using a spherical self centering bearing. Discussed on this very site.

This is a description of the 'Simply Bearings' version of the bearing.

SBPFL205 Oval 2 Bolt Pressed Steel Bearing Housing with 25mm insert
It has a 25mm hole which you push the Sierra inner bush into.

I tried to set one up once, and found I had to reduce the diameter of the bush to fit.
I passed it on to someone else and found that I could get a 1" version somewhere - That would have been easier to use.
