coil over springs ?
Can anyone tell me what the coil over spring-spring lifters/assistor's are called. on droop my springs go slightly loose so don't want to
risk the spring popping off. Its a small low weight spring that sits under the spring just to keep the retainer and spring in place on drooping by
tacking up the slack as its only strong enough to lift the weight of the main spring. Cheers.

That sounds about right, I want to get some in place before I spend hours and hours on the set up. Cheers.

Could you fit a bump stop ?
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I use these a fair bit. Your best bet for buying them is Faulkner Springs.
Speak to Peter or Andy and tell them Mike Capon sent you. They'll look after you..

Many thanks for all replies, I wondered about some sort of sling as a stop, but the helpers will work perfectly and I gain a bit of travel. Its mainly
the rear live axle that needs the helpers. I don't recall the front end being an issue as not much droop as the bottom ball joint and upright
soon run out of travel although that could change when we set up the camber properly. I've just checked and the front springs do indeed get
loose when jacking up the car (wheel changing or "Brow Flat Don't Lift" so 4 needed.
Hope to be on the road for next weekend's "Car's the star" at Heaves Hotel, Kendal.
Many thanks, much appreciated.

If the bottom ball joint is the factor limiting the droop on the front I'd get that fixed before using the car. The shock should be the limiting
factor otherwise something is going to break...
All you need is an internal spacer in the shock to reduce its open length. Not difficult or dear and cheaper than an accident.

Yes I agree. The bottom ball joint when the ride height is set and the bottom wishbone parallel to the ground seems to only have about 1" drop
before going tight against the alloy upright casting and the ball joint dust cover. I may have got too much camber as bringing the upright out at the
top and reducing the camber would give more travel. I've had a word with the chassis set up guru, and he has it covered I hope.
Cheers.
