stub axles for Sierra uprights
are they available at all? for some reason I've inherited some Sierra front uprights but minus the bearings and the' stub axle',
ie the bit that the wheel actually attaches to...
I imagine the bearings are available, but can't find the axle bits at all...?

I wouldn't even try. A used complete set is so cheap its not viable. Its not just the stubs/hubs as you say there is the bearings and the little
things like dust covers and spacer washers that make just the upright bin fodder.

I had a couple of sets, sold those ones, the others are without the stub axles, just trying to work out whether they are worth keeping/ offering
to someone else. Looks like I may as well keep them as spares if anything...

I'd say they are worth keeping - you can use them to make a set of 5 stud sierra uprights 
(the granada upright has different geometry that not everyone can use)
so these would let you use a cheaper granada donor in place of a sierra and have matching wheel fitments front to back
all you need is a pair of 5 stud granada hubs to go in them (from the donor)
the only mods required to fit the sierra upright is 5 min on a lathe to turn down the bearing and seal diameters to match the sierra bearings (costs
about £10 a pair if you've not got a lathe)
and a set of 5mm longer bolts and some spacers to fit the granada calipers (if your not going for fancy willwoods or the like)
