7 Style Bonet
Hi All,
I am looking for a Bonet for my Locost 7. It currently has a Silver metal one and i hate the thing.
Colour is not too much of a problem as I will be spraying it anyway. Would think about spraying the one I have but Don't think that it would
work too well.
Cheers
Brett

Silver is an expensive metal. You could sell that for quite a bit of dosh and buy a glassfibre one.

Apologies should have been more specific with the type of Metal. I have uploaded an image to highlight what I mean.
Thanks for the prompt.

Why not?
Prepared properly it will be OK.

I understand that with the correct preparation fit could be painted but I also wanted to chage the style of bonnet to one that includes louvres on
both the side and top.
It felt like that route of least resistence is to get another bonnet.
Do you think otherwise?

Is it a polished stainless bonnet or polished aluminium.
Mine was aluminium and I had it sprayed approx 2 years ago and is standing up very well, when done with the correct etch primer you will get a good
job.
I would think there is a etch primer even for stainless, but you could always replace with alimunium and paint.
Adrian
Why do I have to make the tools to finish the job? More time then money.

So this is it then? -
Bonnet looks fine to me, ever thought of a vinyl wrap, maybe Carbon effect or Kevlar rather than paint?
Some vents or grills would look good and aid cooling

Correct that was how my project was 7 months ago. Although visually not a lot has changed I am now onto the exterior.
Was thinking that the top half in a single colour and leaving the bottom half as is. Hence why I was looking at a new bonnet.
Have done a quick ebay search and not really much about in terms of bonnets.

Looks good Puma931.
If I have no joy then I may well end up cutting in some vents and then wrapping it.
Where did you get your material from.

Ebay, but make sure you get the 3M stuff as it is less prone to air bubbles.

I have a bonnet for sale, pictures in my photo archive in a folder called "bonnet" - let me know if it might be suitable.
