ford sierra drive shafts mixing bolt on and push fit

Does any body know if you can fit a push fit hubs on to a bolt on a ford sierra drive shafts? I ask because I have just found that the bolt on drive shafts that fit my LSD diff do not fit in the dedion axle. I'm also trying to fit the rally design rear disk conversion.

I have got rear drum hubs with push in shafts modified to take bolt on bits for a lsd diff, think is has to be the larger diameter shafts one can get.

Did post on it at some time in the past prior to doing it

Thanks I will get ordering the bits tomorrow. I was worried that I would need to change direction with the diff.

So if I have read everything correctly I need a set of push off ~27-28mm diameter shafts possibly fitted to a 1985 2.0L sierra. So where do you measure the 27mm? is that just the fattest point on the drive shaft?

For example is this the correct type?

All I can suggest if you wish is to come and view, take measurements etc.

if you have the old tripod(e) push in shafts this will be a never going back experience, i.e. once you start to cut open the tins you can not get replacements, make sure you have all the bits before you commence.

I would also say no to that shaft as it looks like the thinner shaft.

push in CV joints come up occasionally - as do tins on their own (I have a couple on the shelf but have been converting most of mine to bolted flange for Ford LSDs).

No much better to leave it gong in the same direction really as otherwise you would have 1 forward gear and 5 reverses.
