Call you local vosa office and speak to the examiner. If your not due to take itvor a while hold off as I suspect this will be something that will either be clarified or removed in the next revision.

As above, my examiner last month said the on/off buzzer is only applicable if your fog light can be switched on with sidelights. If you wire it so they only work with dipped/full beam then they don't need a buzzer/door interlock.

Not all testers say this,I know a car thats failed for having the fog light like this.

Also Westfield are now starting to make there looms for the new way the foglight must work.

Some light switches, like mine in the VRS,will physically turn off the fog lights when you turn off the headlights, could be another option instead of expensive control boxes/extra wiring

But thats based on having a sensible driver, they let any dimwit have a license.

Agree with the above comments, I think the note is clear enough that you do need either a buzzer or a system to switch them off, regardless of if they are switched by the fr8nt fog/side light combo.

Depends when you want to IVA it, if this year you will most probably get away with it.

If not, you will need to make sure if you turn your ignition on and you have left your fogs on, they do not come on.

I had a test a week ago and was not tested

I have a spare cartek one if you need it and open to offers?

this thread on PH is suggesting that the rule is about to be dropped, matching what Loggy said above.
Dunno how true it is mind!
