HOW MUCH BHP can it take

Just want to know what power my escort axle will be able to take before it goes bang ?

any ideas ?

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes.

By that time, who cares.

You're a mile away, and you've got his shoes

I think Jon Ison or Hicost are best able to answer this one, but I have heard that they twist the half shafts before the diff gives up.

It would be the torque, not the power that would stress the axle, but a much lighter chassis and a corresponding ability to spin the rear wheels would transfer the stress to the tyres rather than the diff - I stand to be corrected, but thats the way I see it

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

in standard form 150bhp seems to be a rule of thumb thats often quoted. How true this is..... no idea, is it based on escorts or sevens, again no idea!

I think it will also depend on how you treat it too...

Dont just build it.....make it!
