Balljoint Engagement
I now know that the maxi ball joint fits my mgzr uprights, however the engagement of the taper is only about 2/3rds.
Personally I don't have a problem with that, just looking for others opinions?

Full nyloc nut and washer on with a couple of threads showing is my measure.
Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

I would want a bit more, generally ball joints show more thread than a normal but and bolt.
I assume is to give a bit more of a margin in case the but starts to slacken.

Sorry I should clarify, I have full nyloc engagement with threads showing. Its just the female taper isn't sat right at the base of the male
taper.

I'd need to find the correct reamer though. I'm not sure if the trusty axminster one for the transit drag link is the same taper as the
bottom maxi balljoint... anyone know?
