sierra rack on a westfield?
Anyone know if you can use a sierra rack on a westfield?
Just got a quick rack for the mk indy then decided to go down the westie route. Do do I need to use the escort rack that seems to be the norm?

Cheers - kinda figured that would be the case.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure

So, do you know if the Westie uses a standard (ie un-shortened) Escort rack - or does it need shortening as well?

It does depend on the model but as I understand you need to extend the rack And when you fit the Westfield rack extenders you need to remove a little
off the rack

It's all about the geometry
Rack drumstick knuckle needs to be inline with bottom and top wishbone mounts
That's defined by actual rack length
There is of course the added dimension on hub carrier steering arm position
Forgive my answer if it is not completely correct as I have had some beer
