ATE master cylinder rebuild
Evening,
I've managed to get my ATE 19mm master cylinder apart, but gone and lost the small bolt that fits halfway down the cylinder. I have others that
will fit, but would like to know its purpose. The hole does go right through to the inner bore but is tapered so that it won't go right in. Is
it some sort of pressure release nut or does it secure the second piston in place when used with a tapered bolt?
Going to try and source a rebuild kit but these don't include the bolt!
Many thanks
Jon

It limits the stroke of the piston prevent it returning to far.
