Rear Wheel hubs on the wrong sides???
I bought my car part built and I stripped it back to the chassis and rebuilt it. I did one wheel at a time and have been caught out by
'previous builder issues'. My car has Granada Cosworth Hubs and bolt on drive shafts. The rear calipers are towards the front of the
vehicle. The front callipers are toward the rear of the car. I had terrible trouble bleeding the rear brakes as the bleed nipple is on the bottom of
the caliper. I ended up taking the callipers off and holding them upside down.
What if the previous builder got them mixed up??? If I swapped the hubs over then it would put the callipers towards the rear and the bleed nipple at
the top of the caliber. I think!!!! Anyone experienced this?
Passed IVA braking tests with the current setup.

I think there are several kit cars where the rear brake callipers are swapped over from left to right. I think this is usually to do with being able
to better locate the handbrake cables. Unfortunately I can't remember how they are on my Viento, they're definitely reversed on our Spire
'cause everyone points out the plastic L and R identity tags appear to be wrong.

The rear callipers on mine are towards the rear. My understanding is that people have put them towards the front for two reasons
I) having them further forward moves the weight further from the rear of the car and therefore improves handling as there is less of a pendulum
effect. According to the laws of physics, this is correct, but if you can tell the difference in practice you should be a top flight professional
racing driver!
ii) As mentioned, to make the handbrake cable run easier. I didn't find this to be a problem, maybe because Vientos are such big cars and there
is more space to run the cable?

I have to do the same on my Haynes car to accommodate a similar suspension design.
