wishbone accuracy
Making up some adjustable rear wishbones as a winter job so I've removed my manufacturer made ones to find they have 4.3mm of what I think you
would call 'twist' across the wishbone.
So when the wishbone is lying flat three of the bush tubes are sitting flat but one is raised by 4.3mm off the flat.
If you push this corner down it lifts the opposite one diagonal up off flat.
Both lower rear wishbones are the same.
So out of interest is this amount of difference acceptable in a wishbone?

I found mine twisted i put it down to braking forces
that was the front arm's

I would not sweat that, probally welding distortion.
It only affects the upright in a vertical plane which is catered for with the top bone.

I think mine are worse, and been on the car 17 years as arc welded
22k +
1500 miles this year
Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

So long as they don't bind I would not worry... The forces from the weight/dynamics of cornering will be more than the twist...

Ok all thanks for the input
Hoping to get the ones I'm making bang on,but atleast I now know not to worry if I've got a couple of mm twist etc.
