Remote reservior to master cylinder feed pipe
Hi
Can any one tell me where I can get hose that is marked as suitable for brake fluid as the one I have does not have any markings on it.
The chap at the Southampton SVA centre said that it must have the correct marking on and must include brake fluid on it or it will not pass, or I will
have to have evidence that from the place of manufacture that any sae numbers etc comply.
Thanks
Keith

I have the same problem... You are not alone out there!
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
Best Regards

Any decent motorfactors should be able to help
Alternatively, have you tried Merlin Motorsport, Burton Power, Rally Design or Demon Tweeks?

Mine came from europa spares. they do a kit, with the pipe, clamps and the screw end fittings to the master
cylender.

I bought the same kit from the Europa van at Exeter last month.
Problem is, the pipe is not marked. They did say that they would send me a data sheet showing that the pipe is suitable for brake fluid.
Still waiting and rang them up yesterday to find out why I had not received it. They seemed a little surprised that I had been told that I would be
sent one! But they would look into it and get back to me today. Needless to say, no phone call..which is really annoying as I bought the kit on the
strength of this!
However, apparently there is still no guarantee of the SVA accepting a data sheet as how can it be proved that the unmarked pipe fitted is, indeed,
that referred to in the sheet??!
Andy.

Brake hose
Hi
I have the Europa kit and southampton SVA centre will not pass it as it has no markings on it and written proof from europa will not be acceptable.
Burton Power do a hose marked Parflex 550H-5 2500psi SAE 100R7 DN8 which is a hydraulic hose. This hose is made by Parker and I am waiting for an
email from them to confirm that it is suitable for brake fluid as Southampton want proof from the manufacturer that it is suitable.
I have done some reseach on this hose and it is suitable for synthetic hydraulic fluids so if I can get proof from Parker then it should be
acceptable.
Merlin also do a hose but it is unmarked.

To be honist, it's been about two weeks since I did anything on the car so could not remember if the pipe was marked or not. Well having read
the above I guess I'm going to have to replace the pipe.

Rover used a short flex pipe to the clutch master cylinder on the 800 models ---also I think the 600 and some Hondas also use it.
