offset/angle between hubs and differential
Not a specific locost question, but it is kit car related.
what is the maximum safe offset between hubs and differential on the X axis (if any)?
Id like to keep the diff as far forward as possible (the car is rear engined), to bring the engine weight forward.

Maximum angle will depend on the precise CV joint used, but for inboard plunging joints it's usually between about 20 and 30 degrees (fixed
outboard joints can go much higher: typically up to 45-55 degrees).
BUT, that's the maximum operating angle for the joint, so you need to work out the compound angle resulting from the driveshaft angle on plan,
combined with the maximum angle that that will be encountered from full bump/droop movement of the suspension.
