Front Disc from solid to vented
Hi Guys,
I have what I believe are Granada front hube. The discs are bolted to the inside of the wheel hub etc.
The discs are solid type.
The Calipers mean while look like Capri 2.8 calipers from what I have seen online.
The pads are held inplace with external pins and clips etc. (Like Brembo)
Now online, I found the following how someone on their car changed the discs to capris, spacer and all done.
Anyone else done anything similar to change to vented discs?

Cheers!

I have cortina hubs with injection vented discs, wish I had not bothered as very heavy and not needed really, they bolt onto the hub.
My calipers have machined spacers, they are lightweight and just needed shimming to fit over the discs correctly.

Hi,
So same as the link.
Do you think the solid would have been fine???
Is there a certain year of Capri discs to go for?
Cheers!

On the weight front, I compared standard cortina discs and (grooved/drilled) Capri V6 vented discs and they were pretty much identical.
