Shortened sierra handbrake spring

Can anyone point me in the direction of a shortened sierra handbrake spring? Or can I bend and chop mine to work?

I'm getting some 13" TD's and see they foul in the handbrake mechanism.

I messaged a user on here who gad some made a while ago but no reply yet.

RJK350 is who i got mine from last year, they have one less coil so it would be hard to alter the originals

Try shortening your's, if it don't work then buy some. I was surprised how well it worked for me, but did take me about an hour a spring. Never used heat, just a good vice. Slip the spring over a solid bar (steering rack off-cut) while working on it so it don't get crushed. I also fabricated a bracket to support the handbrake cable away from the wheel. The handbrake calliper lever may also need work. Replaced nipples for shorter ones on front callipers.

It was RJK350 I messaged

I just ordered a spare set so I'll have a go at modifying mine, hopefully it shouldn't be too tricky!
I have until May for the MOT anyway

I'm sure somebody on here put a pic up of there set up using a coil Spring on the cable,so then you can remove the Sierra one altogether

Sorted!

Managed to man handle the original springs to remove a coil and reshaped it to how it should be, wasn't as difficult as I expected actually!
