Sierra rear fabricated uprights - bit confused!
In the haynes roadster book on page 70 is a drawing for the rear upright, fig 5.24
It says offside is shown, rotate RU7 & RU5 180 degrees for opposite hand. These look completely symmetrical, what am I missing?
If it ain't broken, fix it anyway (just because).

Will be to do with the part the hub bolts too,the holes ate not symmetrical.
This will mount the caliper in the wrong position if you don't get it correct.

Ahhh, thank you, the holes look symmetrical but i've just held up the hub against it and it is (probably so it cannot be put on upside down)
not symmetrical. Thank you for preventing me making a costly mistake.
I will be fitting drum brakes, I will be rotating it a bit to give better access to the brake line fitting (as suggested on the haynes forum).
Cheers
Craig

I've got a pair of Mac1 uprights for sale, very similar but less welded joints. £25

Thanks for the offer but already bought the laser cut kits for the uprights and fabricated the jig.
