Tyre advice

Anyone have any experience of the Toyo 888?
are they as good as yoko 48r's.
The tread pattern looks about the same, and the price looks tempting.

TIA
Al.

I'm tempted by the 888s. They seems to be lots of good reviews and seem to a good balance for road and the odd track day. The other benifit for me is that they say the 205 size can be fitted to a 6" rim whereas most makers say a 6.5" is needed. I was going to get 195 for the front and 205 on the back. I only drive in the summer / dry so wet grip not really a concern.

R888

not used 48r's so can't compare, but compared to "normal" tyres they are unbelievable when warm in the dry,a bit scary though when cold and deadly in damp or wet,but if you are doing a lot of track days there great, the obvious trade off is tyre wear ,I am on my second set of rears in 850 miles, and even they are looking a bit sad, have done three track days though in the last 8 weeks finding them a little addictive get mine from rochford tyres 01702 545689 £340 a set they even give me free delivery now
cheers Paul
