How fast
Does your bike fuel pump "click" / "pump"
is it click.............click...............click
or click.ckick.click.click
ive got two, one allways seems to be running quickly the other much more steady, which one is on the way out or are theyt both ok ? the engine runs
fine on either with no fueling probs but i dont want to be let down by a failing pump ?
???????
they are both honda pumps btw.

Are they both from the same model bike, if not they could be set to two different Pressures.
IIRC bike pumps tend to pump until they reach a certain pressure and then switch off until the pressure drops, where they switch on again.
If the two pumps are setup for different pressures then they would run like you say.

there both cbr 600 pumps, but i'm under the impression honda pretty much fit the same pump to all the larger "carb'd"
bikes.
i could well be wrong.

How about plumbing both in, with a switch to flick between them? might need a non return valve thrown in for good measure.  saves any disasters
Beware! Bourettes is binfectious.

mine clicks every now and then not constant and has since built(new)

Initially on turning on the ignition it ticks a lot then slows and stops. At idle ISTR it was around 1 tick every 3-4 seconds or so. Sounds like the
manically ticking one has lost its ability to sense pressure so maybe is pumping all the time - which is probably OK at high engine speeds hence why
youve note noticed a problem.

BTW, I'll have a blade pump up for sale when I can be bothered to take it out if you're interested in another spare

No prob Chris, postage would be a pain in ass anyhow, i did think about it but i got a very friendly bike breakers 3 miles down road, open sundays
too, very handy, they like a spin in a BEC now n then, keeps em sweet.....

jon as joel said earlier i'd run 2 pumps with a change over switch,all the rally cars i have built always had 2 just in case!It saves moey and
time in the long run,entry fees,lost track time etc.

fuel pump
well
i just used the org sierra one...
my loom anyway uses a relay for it and it lets the pump stay on...
the press reg in the fuel system..is the one that makes the press in the system..
every press more maken by the pump is losen...
