Steering Rack

Lookin for advice on something i stumbled upon today..
My steering rack was found to be filled with grease rather than gear oil. Is this a common thing that people do or should i return it to gear oil?

ive usually put a mixture of the two in..as long as its lubricated though, i woudnt worry
